That's reminded me of my grandad who had a very narrow strip of grass outside his front wall which people let their dogs poo on. Tired of cleaning up dog mess, his solution was to get me to scrape off the turf and put gravel down in its place. This successfully dissuaded the dogs but became a popular litter tray for the local cats instead!
