Can't think of anything better. :) But, I don't know anything about the workings of PTSD, unfortunately

I think connecting to nature helps everyone’s mental health! How we do it is really down to us!

Fishing is a definite for me! I really enjoy taking the kids out, it’s not just fishing, before you know it the fish a tarzy swing, fire pit etc and it’s an adults connection to all those things!

Okay Chris, i think to it helps people to focus again, i read the book "rewild your mind "from Nick Goldsmith ,i was glad someone had the courage to write about that.

Could Buschcraft and fishing help your menthal health, what do you think ??
Its not the activity that helps, Its the quiet, peaceful situation that you do them in. So yes, Fishing, Bushcraft, Solo Hikes, Cycling etc... Are all capable of healing/de-stressing... they all bring a sense of peace. They helped me when i needed it.

Green light, green air and green backdrop, bush crafting as a form of forest bathing as I explained to my therapist. To tell them I was aware the EMDR therapy I am undergoing was inspired by woodland walking, to which they agreed to tell me they support my bush crafting through being both aware of the positive mental health benefits of Japanese shinrin-yoku and awareness of the fact that bush crafting is popular with other veterans using their service.

Fishing, I don't know except to say when things were really bad fishing and foreshore foraging stopped me starving.

100%
I have complex PTSD, anxiety and , I hold down a good job but I find bushcraft and being outside in a nature a wonderful release and reset and calms my over-active mind and prevents me spiralling.
I recommend it. The good thing is you can match you activity to your mind, want to just sit in quiet - that’s fine. Want to rage with an axe splittiing wood that’s also fine!

EMDR worked for me, my safe place was a camp fire in a quiet tranquil forest
