Bukta Throstle Canvas Tent

I've purchased an old Canvas Ridge tent, I was told it had poles when I bought it, but sadly they aren't anything to do with this tent.
I've exhausted google into trying to find information on this tent, so I can purchase the correct sized poles for it. I've tried some 6ft 6" poles but sadly they are too short. I'm not thinking it must be in the region of 7ft 6" tall maybe even 8Ft tall.

Has anyone else ever come across this tent on here?

Don't know that particular tent, but the Throstle is a type of bird in keeping with Bukta naming policy. One way to get the correct pitching hight is to peg it out under something like a tree with guy lines tied to the top of where the poles would be, then haul them up until the thing is taught and looks "right". You can then measure the height accurately and make/have made poles to the correct length.
Failing that somewhere like Tent Repair Service in Musselburgh ( LINK ) may be able to help you out.

If you lay out the tent on the ground so that that end sections are flat as they would be when the tent is pitched, the measurement from the ridge peak to the hem where the doors join will be the height of the tent when pitched. This then gives you the height of the pole not counting the prong which goes through the ridge peak.

Ye canny whack a tall canvas tent - good purchase - don't worry about "original" poles & fittings - just make it work as Oldtimer sez + enjoy!
You may be able to find an old inner tent that you can suspend from the ridge-pole for added comfort & bug protection - anything that fits - often charity shop finds - just got a wee one for a smaller tent for £2...
