I noticed from a search that a few people have used a Brusletto Norron, I'm thinking of getting one as an all rounder that isn't too pricey. How have they fared, and how do they compare to, say the Helle knives? Any info or alternative recommendations are welcome.

I have one, but I'm not going to use.
The handle is rather thin. Thinner than most Helle.
It is more of a collector's piece in my opinion. You should be able to find a real user for a similar and even lower price.

There was a problem in the manufacture of these. The earlier ones broke!

The handle is a multi piece composite and the blades tang did not go all the way through, As i understand from the manufacturer, those that were left were stregthened by a nail, and they are no longer in production.
