It was 17C here today and that's too bloody hot for me. We went directly from winter to summer, no spring, so no time to become acclimatized.

Santaman, I would take -20C any day of the week over 91F. And yes, I am serious.

I can understand that; especially your choice of 20c. That's only a couple of degrees cooler than standard room temp. I'm generally not so fond of the heat myself. But 91 isn't so bad (or it wouldn't be if it weren't so damned humid here)

no really, i go into survival mode at 23-24C, trying to find a windy place in the shade were i can lay still and drink lots of water.

Yep. Most of the snowbirds come here for the WINTER. Summer's good for diving and vactione actually spent IN the sea or rivers, not near it. (as in snorkeling or scuba on the reef or wrecks) That's why I said (in other threads) that part of the point of canoeing is to get good and wet and stay that way. In fact a very large number of people prefer "tubing" to canoeing; floating down river on an inner tube or a comercial float tube.
