british army warm weather bag

how many of you own a british army warm weather sleeping bag
if so what sort of temp have you slept in them
how cold and how was your night
i have two that me and the swmbo are taking to ozz i know there good enough there but what are they like over here as i would like to get more use out of them

If you are talking about the "jungle" bag then I'd suggest getting something a little thicker. I bought two last year when myself and swmbo started camping for the first time in years. Our first trip out was in July. The first night I was ok but not toasty in mine. Swmbo was cold. We went and bought a couple of army surplus blankets the next day.

I've since bought two Austrian army bags.

Take a bivvy bag along as well as these help trap heat and boost the effectiveness of the sleeping bag.

I use a liner with my bag and put it in a bivvy bag,with this combination i have used it in the early spring and late summer.

I have one,used it many times summer beach camping no probs.

over here, fine on a warm summers night, but they are designed for jungle (hot) conditions, not your average british summer! Perfect for the hotter parts of Oz.
