Hello,

Is the IPK sheet good, what size is it and where should i buy from..

Surplus and adventure say
Groundsheet measures approx. 9ft x 5ft.

Surplus and outdoors say
Large groundsheet approx 4x7ft ish

and Military Mart say
3ft x 6ft

If someone has one they would sell or trade it would be great after having bad experiences with Military Mart and Surplus and Adventure and none of them can agree on a size?

Thank you :)

I haven't had one in years, but they went over the living quarters "bolt on" to a firing trench and the fire trench was an old school entrenching tool wide and had to support a lot of earth and debris, so I'm plumping for the 9 x 5 option.

Edit: a quick google agrees on 9 x 5 on several sites

Good as a groundhseet/bivibag protector/emergency shelter but the are relativley flimsy and don't hold a corner eye well and rip. I carried one in my hillwalking rucksac but now carry a 2 man bothy bag.

In my experience the waterproofing wears off on these fairly quickly, especially along the folds. See how you get on though, worth a bash if they are cheap. They are generally used as disposable items by the military. The paracord in them makes quite good fire bow cord though!
