I am sure they are much tastier than the blasted Turkey I am forced to eat tonight!
I don't touch turkey - my first job leaving school was as a farm labourer and we bred turkeys for the festive season - can't stand the smell of them
I am sure they are much tastier than the blasted Turkey I am forced to eat tonight!
During the months of October & November I accounted for a total of 113 grey flicker tails, all within just 80 acres of woodland and taken with a .22 rimfire

Understood and indeed I have a Theoben Eliminator for just such engagement with Ol' Flicker Tail but I have the good fortune to live out my dream of Fall squirrel hunting with a rimfire as was once even more common in the backwoods of the US, each UK Autumn. Indeed the rifle in the picture is one of the first Cooper Arms "Jackson Squirrel Rifles" produced for this very purpose.I only use the air rifle on greys; that way I can shoot them in the trees as well as on the ground. The .22 I reserve for bunnies
I understand fully they can be a nuisance, buy hurting them?
No.
Yep, someone once said squirrels are rats with a fancy fur coat.Grey squirrels are just rats with a fluffy tail and good PR...
