Bison Bushcraft shirt sizing?

I'm looking at the Bison Bushcraft shirts, and leaning towards the Forester. Just wondering what the sizing is like? I read somewhere that the sleeves are 2" longer than normal, which sounds like a lot. What are they like around the chest (I'm 40", so normally a medium). I just find that 'bushcraft' stuff tends to be a little on the large/baggy side! Thanks.

Oh, and can they be worn untucked, or are they too long for that really? Thanks!

I got a xl im around a 46 chest and 6'2 " tall and its bang on for size with a thin wool or synthetic base layer under it,i alwayswear it untucked again then length is fine, its to bulky to tuck in it just would'nt feel right(for me) but could be done.

I'm presuming the sizing for the 'guide' is similar to the 'forester', I wear what Bison describe as a 'large' and that fits my 42" chest comfortably, with room for something like a woolpower shirt below. I wouldn't call it 'baggy' but the cut is generous and allows a good range of movement, so the chopping of wood isn't restricted. I seldom tuck it in, even in the winter months.

I had a medium, & at 44" chest, this fitted great in the body, with just a " T " but found it to small in the neck & the arms as I wasn't able to fasten either or roll up the sleeves. The quality however was excellent, far better than a swanni.

If you are lucky you may get a shirt we have in stock.
What has happened over the last year is that the seamstress who made them for us has retired. That left us with the task of building a sewing workshop, tooling up and training up staff. That also created a backlog of orders during the transition. We are now in production here and are gradually catching up. If you have an outstanding order, please be patient, we are on the case and will get them all done as soon as humanly possible.

Sounds good. I'd rather wait for a shirt handmade in Britain than get one quickly from a factory in China!
