birch bark cup

can any one describe how to make this,ive seen a funnel sort, using a peg??to hold it together,any photos or links would be great..thanks!

hi fella on top of that you need decent birch bark to work with in uk the bark is too thin and easily breaks you maybe lucky if you visit higher parts of scotland other wise sweden is a good bet or ask the bloke of the telly where he gets his take care .

Birch bark from Southern England is fine to use for cups and lighter containers, matchboxes etc. For heavier containers you can always double it up or use another bark, Ash or Sweet Chestnut .See Bams pictures in this post http://www.bushcraftuk.com/community/showthread.php?t=8161

Yes mate hot water will make the bark more pliable
