Seriously guys, I wanted to try out if I can build myself a rucksack where every item is used for shelter building etc, I had trouble before getting my winter sleeping back, my reindeer fur and my tarp into the same rucksack so that everything fits, now I can use everything and I have only half the weight. It didnt cost me anything either.

Great that it cost you nowt! (free is my favourite word ).

Easy to fix in the field if your strap breaks and i suppose you could make it from 100% natural materials (withies,nettle cordage,animal skins etc).

I'll have to have a bash at that

Sure mate I was to lazy to have a go using natural fiber for the cord and surley it will work just great too with them. I am mostley happy that I get everything in and nothing is waisted. I love too to make stuff myself save the money and win more time to be free instead of working!
