I bought this for my work with Scouts and a Bushcraft School that I do some work for, it was going to be a working tool for me. However, my lovely wife has surprised me with a Ben Orford knife for my birthday. A very pleasant treat but it means that this one is now surplus to my requirements so I am going to move it on for someone else to enjoy.
Its a great knife, Of all of the knives I have owned (and I have had a few over the last decade or so) this one takes and holds the best edge yet. The edge polishes to a mirror finish and pops hairs like a razor. It cuts wood beautifully and turns out amazing feather sticks. There is something about the shape of the blade that pushes the wood towards the handle on the cut and bites really well to make long, controllable cuts.
This was made to my spec with curly birch handles, red fiber liners and a left handed sheath. Fire steel not included. Brand new this would cost £205, Its had a couple of months use and has been very well cared for. Comes with original box and certificate of authenticity.
This would make a great Christmas present so I can post quickly if needed.
