Berghaus Cyclops Roc (3) of Superior condition

Issues;

A bit dusty
Has name on it.
This is a Military one but I have a hunch the side pouches are actually civvy. (because of the coloured badges)





As you can see, the clips are all sound and unworn, as are the straps.

You see these bags around some while, I have picked up several, but all are rather worn with missing straps and broken clips.

This bag has not seen much use.

What am I looking for?

Have you?

A light tent
A nice stove
A decent hatchet

Anything else you might offer?

You dont often see bags like this in such good condition.

It isnt the military one, berghaus did this version in dpm when we all had to buy decent kit. The issue rucksack at the time were the para Bergen or the 58 ptn large pack. The next issued were the plce in green
I bought a roc rucksack in green with the same pouches. In fact it was my first rucksack

PS very very envious, lucky you. That’s a great find. Wish I had a tent or axe, don’t use either

Oh, so that explains the side pouches.

As a matter of interest, the owners phone number is `0` instead of `01`

So, how old would that make it?

I think the berghaus roc green was around early 1980s. I bought mine 1984/5. The DPM Versions came out (guessing) when all soldiers started buying their own kit to replace the issued rubbish so late 80s or early 90s. There are Falkland war photos with them carrying the roc and crusader in green so dpm must have been a lot later.
