I dont normally do reviews but as I found none for these socks on the web I thought Id post my experiences.
In brief Im not very impressed, they are very comfortable but for such an expensive sock they are not very long lasting.
I bought mine at the Outdoors show in London on the 15th of January, apparently that was the first place they went on sale in the UK. I bought one pair of Arctic and one pair of Expedition socks.
I have used Thorlo mountain socks for a few years, most often for work (steel-toe capped boots) , they last a long time and are comfortable, but my last few pairs are wearing out so I was looking for replacements when I can across these socks at the Outdoors show.
They are very comfortable and very soft, the salesman said that they had heel etc padding but this isnt as evident as on other mountain socks Ive owned.
I have worn these once or twice a week for the last 4 and a bit weeks, walking between 4 and 8km a day (walking to and from the station, around site and even on one or two weekends into the woods). I dont consider this exceptional use, and yet after only a month a hole has appeared in the toe (my toe nails are very short, and Ive not used these socks in any way differently to my Thorlos).
So in brief these socks are not for me.
