hi all,can anyone tell me where i can get some natural beeswax from,it's for leather work.

You can often find it at Craft or Country fairs, but it seems expensive to me. I used to know a bee keeper (sadly no longer with us) who willingly traded beeswax and honey for rabbits and woodpigeon for the pot.

I've only got a nucleus box that I've over wintered this year. I lost my bees (well the 1 hive I had going) at the back end of 2004/early 2005 - combination on veroa and cold damp spring.

Hopefully, this colony will be OK and I can split them later or find another wild swarm. I only keep 1 or 2 hives (most people keep more) as it is just for the fun of watching the bee more than the honey.

Most beekeeper association run beginers class - geat way to get a feel for it. They can usually point you in the direction of cheap gear.
