Beeswax Skull Candles

As some of you may know, I’m a commercial beekeeper in the North West.

We make a lot of candles with our beeswax, but I thought I would share our latest beeswax creation.

Each candle is made from over 1.3 kilograms of pure beeswax. They are just slightly smaller than the average human skull!

I love those and I bet they smell wonderful as they burn down

They really do! As you can imagine, we use a lot of beeswax candles. They smell so much nicer than their fake scented counterparts.

I'm guessing there is a Skull mould then?

Yes, a silicone mould. It wasn’t cheap, probably about £100 for that one.

I usually make my own, but I didn’t know anyone with a good quality human skull that I could make one from!

Indeed. If you are I can suggest a UK company that would probably be very interested.

We had planned to sell them, but we hadn’t realised how much wax each would take to make. With the amount of wax required, they work out at about £27 (that’s almost at cost to us) so I don’t think there will be much demand, though perhaps we will be able to sell a few around halloween. (The local tattoo shop has taken a couple ).

Beeswax isnt cheap.

And dont tell my Beekeeper you make candles; He is adamant that beeswax is too valuable to burn.

Spooky! Is one wick enough?

Yes, using a good thick wick means you only need one.
