don't bother with a kit.build a top bar hive for next to nowt.
I've had bees for over 20 years and the worst thing you can do is interfear too much.
just make a weather tight home for them and they'll do the rest.
if your harvesting honey then don't take too much and make sure they have plenty of stores for winter.
