Bedroom with a view in the Black Mountains

Had a quick walk up to the Black Mountains last night and found a lovely spot to bed down for the night.

yes that is a small bottle of Jäger not a giant stove!

Nice, I know that very spot, it’s by the little bothy, did you walk up from the car park at Blaen y Cwm passing Grwyne Fawr Reservoir on your left. That spot gets used by a few campers. ATB.

I know that spot very well. Very close to the smallest bothy in the UK. Looks like a nice trip.

Well spotted Joonsy and Harvestman. I'd stayed in the bothy before, walking in from Crickhowell along the ridge to Waun Fach.

But this time I did drive to car park and walked up the last bit. I knew the bothy would likely be occupied (though they did offer to squeeze me in) as I'd gone planning to hammock it I passed on the offer. It was very quiet up there other than the father and son in the Bothy, I only saw a 3 man Vango by the side of the reservoir by the Dam as I left in the morning.
