For no apparent reason I was having a look at Gary 'Wayland's website and spotted his carved wooden chest.

I just wish my workshop was warm enough to work in at this time of year.

The unadorned chest was a thing of beauty; to add such stunning carving to it lifts it to the sublime. Brilliant!

A lot of ingredients there, time, patience, tools and skill but most of all I think certainly in this case 'Heart,' which produced such a magnificent result.

It certainly became a labour of love, it was the only way I could have put that much work into it.

In the end it looks well in it's place.
