Hi all.
I have a question about making bark containers.
I spent last weekend giving the apple tree in the garden the first serious pruning and shaping it's had in 4 years, and cutting up the wood.
as a result of this, i some peices about 3-4" in diameter and 5-10" in lenth.
I remember from stripping the bark off some fire wood from the tree some years ago, that it came off something like whats shown in this the photos on this thread posted by rancid badger: http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31161
so I know that they can be made from ash and birch, but I was wondering would it be possible to make an applewood bark container?
would it work or wood it just dry out and crack?
Has anyone tried this or have any advice or suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Regards,
