This axe hanger was made from 2mm & 3mm thick full grain shoulder veg tan leather. It comes with a double brass press stud belt loop and has a solid brass D ring.
All stich holes were punched with a diamond awl and then the saddle stitching was made with natural coloured No18 linen thread that I heavily waxed with bee's wax. It is also stamped with my maker's mark.
It was dyed with 4 coats of medium brown dye and the edges were dyed and Edge Koted too. The edges were heavily burnished to a smooth finish. Finally, I finished it off with 3 coats of RM Williams Saddle Dressing which gives a nice shine and waterproof finish.
