Axe Handle Replacement

It's been a while since I've done any craft work but I finished off a project that I started last year and thought I'd share it!
The head needs a bit of cleaning up again as it's been sitting in the shed for a year or so since I cleaned it up. I believe going by the markings that it might have been an old mining axe at some point but I bought it without a handle so I thought I'd give it a new lease of life. The handle started out as a piece of Ash and I carved it out with a smaller axe then shaped and sanded it. It's not perfect but it's a tool to be used and I'm pretty happy with it!
