Attracting food to your garden.

I don't live in the UK at the moment or own a house with a big garden/land.

But, how could you encourage "food" animals to your garden.
How could you make your garden a good place to harvest food?

Wood pigeons, passing pheasant, snails etc...

Make homes for them?
A food source for them?

Just an idea I've had.

well in our case go and buy a lot of expensive garden plants - the pheasant will certainly turn up and have a go at them.

Do you take them for the pot?

My understanding is that if they are on your land they are yours?
Although this might might be from" Danny champion of the world"

Or plant a good veggie patch - my garden is full of woodies, rabbits, hares, pheasant and partridge. Still I exchange veg for meat

Shooting in most gardens is a no no however. Fortunately I live on a "shooting estate" and the owner says anything in my garden is mine for the taking

Haven't taken one of the Roe Deer (yet) except with a camera
