Have been making a batch of shallow food bowls recently, this one in figured ash turned out particularly nice

That's lovely. What a nice bit of wood! I've just finished my first bowl, caught a couple of times doing the inside so it's not very even, and you can see some of the sanding Mark's which are annoying. Went to 240 will get some higher grit next time.
