I listened to the item on the World Service when it was first broadcast (very good article, by the way), and was surprised to hear that you could get one without a blade! A quick google found a Wenger version (the two companies amalgamated some years ago) of the airline model. http://www.amazon.com/Wenger-16912-Traveler-Speciality-Blade-Inch/dp/B000FNI94G Basically very similar to the little knife my wife has, but without the small blade.

I've had mine for over twenty years , and its still something I take everywhere, because its a classic design which is just incrediably useful. And you can't open a bottle of beer with a smartphone!
