army issue bivvy and arctic bag

Hey guys,

Thanks to some fortunate events I have managed to get an army issue bivvy and arctic sleeping bag with compression sack for 15 quid...can anyone share their thoughts on these products?

Bargain indeed! If the bag isn't lofting particularly well, you might think about washing it to bring the loft back and clean out all the body grease etc left by the last occupant

Great combination, the bag is not exactly lightweight but will very easily handle any temperatures the UK can throw at you

This should tell you all you need. I did actually end up comfy in mine by sleeping in the buff. The laws on Thermodynamics suggest that this cant,wont,doesnt happen but im not into science and what works....works. This method worked for me because my clothing was cold and my body heat was struggling to heat me clothes and because i was wearing so much, i was crushing the loft in the bag. As soon as i removed all the clothing, i heated up
