Not just the village, I've yet to meet another one in the country! More due to language barriers than to there not being any though :)

Most of the folks round here would much rather get smashed, start a bonfire and turn the forest to ash than camp in it...

I thought I was the only person into Bushcraft and Survival where I live and then I joined this site and found out I was mistaken, there is even a bushcraft school 5min from my house that I had no idea about until about a month ago when out of nowhere they were in the local paper! Unbelieveable!!

Perhaps bushcrafting in not a black and white issue. There are several people attracted by the ideas but not actively going out to practice them. Then there are the local group who are friends of the local wildlife sanctuary - do voluntary work to keep it up.

I live in the same town as British Red and a couple of miles from E-Spy with a few others within 10 miles.

I'm not sure if there is or not, but, I only know of one in MA...I see him post here & in other forums. Close to me, not sure. I'm teaching my nephew what I know though, and we are learing stuff together. So, now that I think of it, maybe I shouldve voted no....

Unfortunatley there are lots of people who claim they are into bushcraft while out camping near me, they watch Ray Mears think they know it all  , start huge fires, leave their shelters up along with beer bottles, live trees cut down and bad coppicing leaving hazel punji stakes, bits of tent and sleeping bags...from Loch Lomond to Loch Awe Islands you need to be pretty shrewd to find a place not tainted by this to some degree or other.

Now for those who are really into bushcraft and leave very little trace of their being...I'm not sure how many there are as I can never tell by the so little sign they leave behind! ;)

I live near the Woodsmoke team, though I don't know any of them but I do see Ben and Lisa in Sainsburys quite regular.

In that case you can't be too far off me. I may be the only bushcrafter in the village, but at least I'm not the only one in the county!

I think there are about half a dozen around my area, including Singleblister from the forum. He's only a couple of miles away, if that. Shame we don't get out more.
