Archery question

My compound bow has started to shoot to the left. The arrows are going in diagonally. To try and diagnose it I have shot the bow with and without a bow release. with and without the sight. I adjusted the drop down arrow rest left. then right Then changed the drop down rest for a normal one. I am certain it is none of the above. I am left with cams and cables. Could they cause the problem I am describing? This bow is well used. I am certain someone on here will have some ideas. Thanks in advance DD xxxxxx

Just one thought though, have you changed your arrows? Are you sure your arrow stiffness matches your bow strength?

The other thing is to get someone to watch you from behind - it's possible you've developed less 'follow through' and you're moving before the arrow clear the bow.

Apart from magnetic poles and bent arrows - are the pulleys and cams still tracking straight? There might be some play in the axles or bearings after a lot of use. Is the bow still straight in the vertical plane?
Unless you can find a way of clamping the bow to remove human error, it might be your hold has moved round the grip a tiny amount or you are not drawing straight.
are the arrows still straight and ok and/or flexing more than they should. As I understand it the draw weight also has an impact on the arrows flexure on release, has this changed?

Just random thoughts, Forest Knights plus others must know lots more about it.

Thanks. I did consider it was my form but after a hundred or so shots it had to be something else. I have got an identical bow in the van which I will try tomorrow. I am certain it will be different. xxx ps same arrows and the ones it came with x

right handed , brace height perfect, string is new, nock is secure, bow looks good as only a year old, I dont know how you check the cams. All i know is that last week it was perfect. ive changed nothing other than used it. I do know that i have shot it enough times to rule out any errors on my part. I am not bad with it normailly but now I cant get one single straight shot. hence my question. I have got new cable, cams string etc so it might be I strip it down and redo it all. xxxxx

I think perhaps you should get it checked at a so-called Pro shop. It might be worth it. Sometimes arrows can lose spine - especially those made with natural materials- but the would cause you to shoot right as a right handed.

PROBLEM SOLVED. It was hard to spot but one of the cams has taken a knock somehow and squashed the cable channel. I have spares and it is an easy mend. Thanks everyone xxxxxx
