Nice, those bigger perch sure can fight on light tackle - I had a 3.5 pounder out from a small farm pond. How big was the Pike?
3.5lb, that's a cracker. the pike was about 8lb, caught by a mate, I can't take pics like that and play them at the same time. Here is a similar shot.

Yeah those big stripeys seem to be getting more common - I think the one I had caught had filled up on small stocked carp and had the run of the place to itself. I've never had any luck with lure fishing though - I think it's a confidence thing. I catch all my perch on big worms.
