Any decent outdoors / surplus shops near Kings Cross ?

I will be in UK next week, and will be travelling from Kings Cross station.

Does anyone know of any decent outdoors shops or Surplus stores anywhere near there.. or from the Covent Garden / Strand upwards towards it?

Covent Garden has loads of them. I can't think of any immediately around the station but there might be some.

Don't know of anything close. Lawrence Corner, near Euston used to be fun, but I think it's closed. There's a small one in Chapel Market, at Angel. Otherwise Covent Garden is only a couple of stops on the tube.
