Another Hot Weather Danger

If you take your dog, take water for the dog as well as yourself. More so, in fact, since they can only cool down by evaporation from panting, which means they lose a lot of water as they cool.

for longer trips I used to freeze the water bladders in Snoop's (my dog) Ruffwear pack. There was one down each off his sides, so as they melted they kept him cold he also had plenty of water as well as drinking from rivers. Also a folding bowl or Pet drink bottle can be handy.

I am going to print a few of the flyers of and put them up in work.

My dog is 14 and this is the first summer I have ever seen her not like the sun an struggle. When I leave the house with her on her own I leave a huge bowl of water and two fans on full blast in the house so she has cool places to sit during the day (by the window and the couch), and when we go out I carry more water than we both need as I give her a shower when she is too hot.

On a lighter note, you know they're hot when......
