Robin and I just made this little beauty - I love the way the rim went all wobbly as it dried ...

It is made from burr alder - it's the first time I've worked really burry wood and it was surprisingly easy as you can cut it in any direction. It does tend to be a bit chippy at the edges so needs care when doing the handle and rim.

It is just finished with cold pressed linseed like all our stuff. I've never had any problems with them cracking and have never felt the need for any of that boiling that folk seem to do with them.

Looks rearly nice Nicola, great shape and handle.
Is Robin going to start ruffing them out on the lathe? there looking quite poplar at the moment.
