Hi new to the forums .
I recently got myself some fjallraven Vidda pro trousers which I absolutely love !
Now I am looking for a good allrounder jacket been looking at the helikon pilgrim which I know is rated by many but I am concerned about its water protection.
Others been looking into are the hunting smocks from percussion and Deerhunter and more .
Any recommendations?

To be honest I could do with new boots aswell my brashers are getting beyond repair

Cheers

So you like smocks (no front zips) more than jackets (with front zips)? Or not fussed eitehr way? Any thoughts on budget?
How do you define "all rounder"? For instance, I took a Paramo Velez Light smock in black on a business trip because I wanted a fairly packable wind/waterproof that wasn't green. Colleagues asked whether I was going hiking after the meeting .

I have the Keela smock that is reviewed here, https://bushcraftuk.com/community/threads/keela-ventile-heritage-smock-long-term-review.159965/ as you can see from the thread I got it in 2022 and the only issue I have had with it is fraying at the cuffs, which has been sorted with suede reinforcement. I last wore it yesterday over my buffalo special six of considerable vintage. Both of them have the advantage of two way side zips which both aid ventilation and make them easier to pull on.

I guess it read like I am looking for unicorn jacket. I do like the smock style and layering up instead of a jacket I will burn up in. So it’s finding the best smocks. I would say the helikon pilgrim is my favourite so far and for the price range . I do like a bargain has I managed to get my Vidda pros for less than £100 . I get pleasure in hunting a piece of clothing I really want and getting a bargain
