Well, the advert is from "Survival weaponry and techniques" september 1987 vol.2 issue 11! found in the loft t'other day;-) Pretty ancient, hence the long shot here, and the dodgy looking ad

I read all his sea books 35 years + ago, which included 'Lugworm Homeward Bound' Greece to Uk in an 18' 6" open boat..no mean feat. If his 'survival' skills production is as good, it will be worth watching.
