Hello folks
At the beginning of lockdown I brought a 2010 frontline ambulance build on a sprinter by WAS in Germany.
It's a five ton beasty but being old I have C1 on my licence.
Its built manly for weekend use so I haven't gone crazy and kept it simple .
Still an ongoing project but its usable now.

Good to see you about too. :)

Good work on the van, I know a couple of people with ex ambulances, both say they’re ideal for conversion and have been well maintained. I’m glad I bought before the virus, prices are going mad for campers now.

I know someone who lived in one in the car park of a university for a couple of years whilst they studied to say the biggest problem in them is condensation, mind, their really was spartan as they did not have much in terms of funds.

I looked at project amber on utube loads of box ambulance conversion tips on there.
Theres a good ambulance conversion page on Facebook full of useful info
As for buying one brightwells auctions or ebay .
I want mine for weekend use not a liveabourd so it's a basic build with not gas onboard that's my choice.
You need C1 on your license for over 3.5 ton .
Be aware that removing the tail lift and insides takes ages there very well put together so plan so plan the time .
Just do it dont overthink it all problems can be solved ..
