If you could remove the handle, and mount it on the other side of the lid, you could turn the lid upside down and do proper Dutch over cooking (with coals/embers on top).

Are you going to give it a try. It will be interesting to hear how you get on. :)

I have something very similar, if not identical to this, bought a couple of years ago from either Aldi or Lidl. It's very good on the hob or in the oven for making stews, curries, etc. However, on the one I've got at least, the lid has vents around the handle. So I don't know whether it would work as a dutch oven or not. If you're thinking of buying it for this, this I suggest you have a careful look at it first.
