Went for a drive upto Glenmore today and visited the Reindeer center, whilst there scored an antler from a castrate quite straight and long and not many tines, I've never handled antler before, i have cut a section to handle the last of the polar blades i have, is there any thing i should be wary of when working it, it does seem very sturdy, does it react to epoxy in any funny ways, I'm trying to use it as a single piece and file out the centre. with a Nsilver ferrule.. any tips would be great.

Cheers guys.

P.S the reindeer center is cool. my boy nearly papped himself when a big grey chap farted at him.

No tips sorry but I have to say the Reindeer centre is a cracker. We went 2 winters ago when the mountain was stormbound and no skiing or snowboarding for us! However one day we were lucky enough to meet the wild herd out in the hills! Fantastic experience.

Look at the Brisa site and find the Saami knife tutorial for some ideas I will post a link later when I am at home.
