I earned my cooking badge in scouts many years ago in Florida by making pancakes with them. I collected a small bucket load of them. shelled and crushed them rapped with papertowel ran through several changes of water untill the water ran clear. Then added flour, sugar, egg and milk. The pancakes tasted great but was a lot of work. The flour is not nessasary but helps to make them rise a little. Would be a great way to extend your flour on extended trips.
