Sitting under an enormous oak this afternoon, sheltering out of the north wind, I spotted a load of acorn cups (the capsules that acorns sit in) on the ground. Biggest are somewhat over half an inch across. I collected a good pocketful of them, because they look nice.
Can anything be done/made with them? Two equally sized one put together make a sort of sphere/ball, or a slightly smaller one fits inside the other to make a tiny container with lid. Not sure if they are really practical. Might make a decorative button or something.
Any ideas?
