A walk around the coast.

Thought id get a walk in with my brother around some of the coastline near where i live,

We started off near St Abbs and walked around the differant bays,

Then up to the cliffs,

and on past the lighthouse at St Abbs head,

then on to a small deserted cove where we sometimes bivy out,

Finally having a seat and a brew before heading for home.

Great photos mate. I'm not a geologist but the photo of the rock formation in that little cove, Wow! imagine the forces that shaped that. Mother Nature rules eh?

According to a sign at the nearby (disused) lighthouse supply jetty a place called pettico wick, the rock formation round this area is where the rock from Scotland which was part of North America,and England which was somewhere near the equator met(think ive got that right) hence the layers of rock pushed up, in the summer we go snorkeling in the water off the cove theres the wreck of a ship just near the shore all broken up but you can still see the boiler and some of the capstons and huge piles of chain and rusting metal plates.
