I don’t really know much about ditty bags, I take it a sailmaker makes his/her own?
When I studied engineering years ago we had to make our own toolbox, the idea being that a foreman would see if the box was good enough to take you on.
The box was a sort of show of skill- needless to say I’m not an engineer anymore…

That is pretty much the nature of them, I made mine a few years ago at the BushMoot.
A couple of years back I stumbled across this somewhere online and saved off the images for later reference.
It looks excellent, really solid bit of kit.
It’s a little heavy but I suspect it will outlive me.
