I had a couple of hours spare before going to work so I went for a short walk into the local woods with the dog.
I took a few pics (They are abit small, wrong upload setting on photobucket)
Heading down to the woods
Rose-bay Willow herb
further down the path-
Himalayan Balsam
Crab Apple
Meadowsweet
Dog Mercury
There were lot's of Harebells around, I love these flowers.
Betony
Into the woods
This is a paths in the woods, it is cut into limestone which is weathered and eroded, its dark and damp and has all sorts of ferns growing and feels really prehistoric.
Coming out of the dark into a clearing of beech trees
Found loads of cramp balls
and took a few for my fire kit.
found a very nice potential camping spot in a small clearing.
Coming out of the woods into the Meadow, on of my favourite places, it's always full of wild flowers of all kind and covered in, bee's Butterflys and beetles collecting pollen and necter.
another good camp spot
someone else has had the same idea...
and then I went home and just I got there it stared to rain
I think I may head out for an over-nighter in the near future and take my SLR and get some good pics.
Cheers.
