They are all from different sellers over a few weeks, apart from the Kent patten axe #2 that was my first boot axe.
I sold numbers 1 and 3 last week for £6 each along with another that I had, you have to remember that I did rehandle both of these so there was a lot of work involved.
As to putting a new handle on the bill hook. Take off the old one (use a saw or a wood chisel) then remove the washer at the pommel (handle end) by rounding the end down with a few taps with a hammer until it slides off, (this has to be put back later to hold the new handle on)
I measured and then carved a new handle from a piece of elm log, sanded down for shaping, and put the ferrule on. Then to get the hole, I used a drill at the blade end first, to make a wider hole by moving side to side, then narrowed it down at the pommel end.
Put new handle on with a few taps with a hammer, the washer, and finally rivet (tap) the end to make every thing tight.
Your done apart, from some boiled linseed oil to the wood to finish it off.
If you haven't got a ferrule, you can make one from some scrap copper tube.
