A campsite in the Scotland for a week in August

Hello All ,:)

Im looking for a campsite in Scotland for a week in August maybe on or near the coast I allso want to be able to use my wood burner if its wet :cool:


Where do you recommend ?.


Its only for me not the wife so basics fine.

Findhorn sands caravan park on the coast(Moray firth) walk over dune to beach, turn right = seven miles of beach and rossile forest, turn left = findhorn estury for excellent bird life, walk around it to culbin forest for grey seal watching, head south and your in the hills. Head west to Fort George or some military history and dolphin spotting. Stunning area.

Badrallach is a good venue and you can have fires also. It has a shower block and Bothy if the weather is bad. There's not a huge amount to do though unless you like hill bashing although you could go N towards Ullapool or the other way to Gairloch etc for a bit of a drive/sight see. Worth a look anyway:

Dont forget you midge net!!!
I have just had my first experience of scotland around the Galloway forest, which is stunnng by the way, and we were in midge HELL!!!!
Oh and wipes with only 30% deet dont work!!
