To mark my 5000th post I'm offering up a little something again.
It's really hard to think of something random these days which can't be found with a bit of googling, but this should give you lot something to think about.
In April I purchased my Old Town Pack canoe, since getting her I managed to get out for a paddle nearly every weekend whilst trying to learn the ropes. These trips usually involved getting up at a stupid hour on a Sunday morning and bezzing my way over to the Lakes before the crowds turned up. Usually I'd just lazily paddle around checking out islands and wildlife and having plenty of brew stops along the way.
So my random question is ...
How many miles (land miles not nautical) have I paddled since I first picked her up ?
To give you a clue I've been to ....
Loch Lomond twice
Coniston
Thirlmere
Ullswater
Derwent Water
Loch Fyne
Leeds Liverpool Canal
Second clue ....
A mile is a long way on flat water so don't get too carried away.
I've worked out my routes with Memory Map so I've got a number I'm looking for.
Oh yeah, the prize ....
A nice Hurricane style paraffin lamp
Nearest guess to my number on Sunday at 7 p.m. gets the prize, e.g. 13.7m
One guess each
