All the money being raised through this raffle is going to The Big Issue Foudation, through my daughter's Fund Raising Page In July she will be riding from London to Paris on her bike. Despite many attempts, she has been unable to raise any money through sponsorship, and we 're raising all of it ourselves through raffles, car boot sales etc. So a big thank you again to everyone!

The Big Issue exists to offer homeless and vulnerably housed people the opportunity to earn a legitimate income. We produce a weekly entertainment and current affairs magazine which vendors buy from us for £1 and sell to the public for £2, keeping £1 for themselves. Vendors must adhere to a code of conduct whilst selling the magazine.

We believe in offering ‘a hand up, not a hand out’, but we also recognise that earning an income is the first step on the journey away from homelessness. The Big Issue Foundation is a registered charity which exists to link vendors with the vital support which will help them address the issues which have led to their homelessness. The Foundation works exclusively with vendors, offering support, advice and referrals.

Any more takers gentlemen/ladies? It's all for a good cause. The Big Issue Foundation supports homeless people into re-creating a new life away from having to live on the streets, by supportiing them to help themselves by earning an income with selling the Big Issue magazine.

For only £5, you could find yourself with a very good piece of kit. The knife itself, a Bernie Garland Bushcrafter, is well thought of generally by people on this forum. Of course all the money will go to the Big Issue through Naomi's fund raising page.
