  • Merry Christmas Guest, we hope that you have a great day wherever you are, and we're looking forward to hearing of your adventures in the New Year!
That's very impressive, and a great idea for a challenge. There's something motivating about that kind of challenge.
There's a huge range there, and of knives!
I can imagine that the little spyderco was uncomfortable, how was the zenshin?
Carving with a pruning knife? Why not? Probably quite functional.

Are the spoons in the same location as the knife used?

Nope, I should've done that! Yes the Spyderco was the most uncomfortable but kind of redeemed itself by having such a thin blade. I certainly wouldn't want to do a lot of carving with it. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the Esee which I expected to be unwieldy but it was fine and actually comfortable to use. Once you get into carving like this then forget about holding the knife like a hammer, you've gotta get your hand right up with your index finger hooked over the spine of the blade. The knife that chewed my finger up was the Condor Mayflower, thanks to its jimping.
