2016 Avalanche

You might hear/read about this:
5 dead and several others injured in a big avalanche Friday afternoon.
Very popular snowmobile area, the trailhead for the Renshaw district is about 20-25 minutes north of my place.
This time, it's been claimed that human activity set it off.

That's not good, was it skiers-snowmobiles? I haven't heard anything on the news yet.

Snowmobilers. Pretty much everybody lost their ride and had to double up with others to get down.
Two of our local Search & Rescue people were sledding in there at the time so the efforts started immediately.
Anytime a chopper lands at the hospital is bad news. Believe just one injured bad enough for hospital treatment.
