For 250 quid you could get a custom knife from Dulo. I have two and a third on order - cryo heat treated magnacut, convex grind, micarta handle and a really good custom sheath. Great value for £250 but you would have to wait a while for it to be made unless you buy one off someone.

They’re great to deal with, will accommodate whatever you want, use great materials and their heat treat is incredible for every steel they use. Only problem is the wait time, around 10 months at the moment I believe.
Well if it costs 250 nicker I am sure I can survive without it.
The Survival knife is the knife / blade you have with you if and when you get into a survival situation...and if you do get into a survival situation you'd be better spending your money on a PLB or Satellite Tracker that can get you rescued.
I’d personally avoid the ever-popular Falkniven at this price point - I wouldn’t be surprised if there was controversy akin to Bark River down the line with them in the future. Over rated to say the least.
Assuming you still can then a Jaakaripukko 110 or 140 from Varusteleka.
Great knife and great sheath for under £100.
Failing that the similar design of the Peltonen M07 or M95 can be U.K. bought for about the same.
They are not made from a fancy steel but they hold up really well with robust use.
