Been a member of this forum for a long time, but haven't been active member of this great community, so hello!
Just wanted to share with you guys some pics of my very first two spoons(Decided to take a plunge and ordered a Mora 164) I wasn't aware of how calming the whittling can be:)...
There is a tradition of knife skills within bushcraft that overlaps much with, but also differs in some ways from traditional whittling. I wonder what others opinions are about this. Also, does anyone know about the history and origins of this specifically bushcraft-style knife use?

Here is a short tutorial on how to go about carving a wood spirit out of pear wood. There are many shapes, sizes and designs of wood spirits, and different techniques for carving them, this is how I carve mine! I hope you find it useful! :D
